Givenchy has breaking news as the French Fragrance brand launches a new variation from the Dahlia franchise. After the launch of Dahlia Noir in 2011, it is a success story connecting haute-couture and perfumery. For the new fragrance called Dahlia Divin, this new fragrance was built as a haute-couture dress. Between light and deep, soft and strong, white and gold. It is a gently warm femininity proposed in this new opus by Givenchy, featuring Alicia Keys as the new face for Dahlia Divin.

When gold meets perfume. Like a tailor-made fashion creation by Givenchy, Dahlia Divin shines with a thousand golden lights. Dahlia Divine is a refined, exquisite and sensual fragrance that wraps the skin in a sensual and radiant glow. As a Haute Couture dress, it makes you feel … divine.

The fragrance itself is a modern elegance around the theme of White flower bouquet. The olfactory story opens with a juicy fruity note of golden Mirabelle. It gives you a water-mouthering effect that makes this fragrance quite addictive. The Fragrance will then reveal its White floral heart featuring the Sambac Jasmine, intense, wild, vibrant and modern. The fragrance ends with a soft aura of Sandalwood, Patchouli and Vetiver. There is an interesting contrast between the delicate floral facet of this fragrance with the chypre woody base. A contrast that is also translated into the choice of the new face of the fragrance: Alicia Keys.

At LuxuryActivist, we were able to test this fragrance. There is a very interesting brightness with the Mirabelle Plum that brings an original start, away from the traditional citrus notes. This gives a more sensual yet fresh top notes, very yummy. The Jasmine note is very qualitative and it is one of the preferred ingredients of François Demachy, Master Perfumer at LVMH group. Here the variety of Jasmine used is a Sambac Jasmine. Jasminum sambac is a species of jasmine native to a small region in the eastern Himalayas in Bhutan and neighboring India. It is cultivated in many places, especially across much of South and Southeast Asia. It is naturalized in many scattered locales: Mauritius, Madagascar, the Maldives, Cambodia, Java, Christmas Island, Chiapas, Central America, southern Florida, the Bahamas, Cuba, Hispaniola, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, and the Lesser Antilles.

There are 3 sizes of flacons available, 75ML, 50ML and 30ML. Here below some details of the 30ML, the flacon we were lucky to get and to review. The carton packaging, the white label and the glass flacon have very qualitative details. Everything is very couture spirit and elegant fine-tuning.
