Since L’Odyssee de Cartier, The french jewelry House has invested a lot in films to promote the brand territory. This is already the 4th chapter of “Winter Tales” in which Cartier celebrates the magic of Christmas. It is also a very interesting way to connect all Cartier’s activities, Jewelry and Timepieces, in order to be perceived as a multi-product category Brand.

The film itself was directed by Eric “Bibo” Bergeron. He is used to direct animation movies thanks to his experience with Dreamworks Studios and more recently with his own animation studio. He directly several animation movies already, the blockbuster being Shark tale.

The animation work was done by Dwarf Labs. They have a strong philosophy of technology at the service of story-telling. Every detail of the story-board is taken in consideration for the most outstanding result possible.

We can say that the result is fantastic. The project is definitely less pharaonic than L’Odyssée but the animation details are amazing. The highlight of different products is interesting as we can see the positioning of Cartier, not only as a jeweler but also as a Watch-maker.

In the film, we can see the Rotonde Mystery Watch. With this timepiece, Cartier put on stage one of the most well known complications made in-house: the Mystery. This complication exists in the House since 1912 and it is part of the most outstanding complications in timepieces.
