Yesterday I was lucky and got a very interesting contact with Laura Noriega, a

Jacobo Munoz
Jacobo Munoz

Designer living in Mexico. She gave me access to a very interesting project she co-developped with another young talented designer Jacobo Munoz. The project is called NEGRAS INTENCIONES, The Taste of Luxury. Which in spanish means Dark Intentions, and you will understand the double meaning… It is a full collection of kitchen knives with a handle made of true Obsidian stone.
This is a very provocative, luxury, original collection of knives based on the theme of luxury.

ObsidianObsidian is a volcanic black glass, created in the first seconds of a volcano lava blast. Pliny’s Natural History features volcanic glass called “Obsidianus”, so named from its resemblance to a stone found in Ethiopia by one Obsius (wikipedia).
Obsidian was considered as a very valuable stone since the Middle-age because men could easily made objects from it (jewel, blades, arrows….). Today we can find Obsidian close to Volcanos but the biggest producers in the world are South America with Mexico, followed by Japan and USA. Obsidian stone is known for its healing properties. It protects you against depression, blocks negativity and bad spirits. Black stones have protective energies and popular knowledge says it is the stone of the soft hearted and gentle people of the world. We also say that we need to be careful in buying a ancient obsidian jewel, it might be cursed… so Obsidian is a very paradoxal stone, perfect for this knife collection under the tone of provocation.

From their creators :
Delicate carving from expert hands, perfection and quality of the craftsman, tireless seeker of the best stainless steel, gives way to the subliminal bal- ance of the 7 Sacred Knives of the Negras Intenciones line. The darkness beyond the light and the light melts into the darkness”

7 sacred knives like the seven capital sins…

This collection was manufactured thanks to the exceptional know how of a Mexican Knife maker called José Ojeda and Family, established for 12 generations of Masterful workers of the Metal. You can see his website here.

The concept photographs presents a young men with a knife in his hand and a gentle white sheep close by… naughty situation… diabolically sexy and desirable. Photography taken by Klaudia Estefania, a young mexican photographer. Check her website here and her brilliant Flickr here. So finally the brilliant work of these 2 young designers shows that not only Japanese or Swiss or French know how to make knives, but the young generation succeed to bring the sublime into once’s kitchen.

  1. I started smoking when I was really young. It was the hugest mistake of my life. Now I’m older I have found giving them up is extremely difficult. I attmpted all of the quit smoking tools but nothing helped. Then I saw the e-cigarette. The e cig uses a nicotine juice that consists of only nicotine. No smelly smoke at all. They have completely improved my life. No longer inhaling smelly smoke feels great!

  2. Hei, I like this blog, many good information, I want to subscribe it, can anyone help me?

  3. That is very intriguing. It presented me a few ideas and I’ll be placing them on my website eventually. I’m bookmarking your site and I’ll be back again. Thank you again!

  4. Hi, i just thought i’d submit and let you know your blogs layout is actually messed up around the K-Melon browser. Anyhow preserve up the great do the job.

  5. Your site appears genuinely great. Getting a weblog writer myself, I definitely appreciate the time you took in producing this post.

  6. shares employ a fantastic website decent Gives appreciate it for the efforts to assist me

  7. Howdy, your site is on air in the radio! Good job mate. Your posts are truly great and bookmarked. Regards

  8. The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice(christian louboutin shoes, christian louboutin,cl shoes,Christian Louboutin Sandals,Christian Louboutin Boots,Christian Louboutin Pumps,Christian Louboutin Wedges, herve leger dress, christian louboutin Boots).

  9. Your work has always been a great source of inspiration for me. I refer you blog to many of my friends as well.

  10. If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.

  11. Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

  12. The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

  13. This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

  15. Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.

  16. Hello. Which version did you use? I tried with version 5.0.375.55 and everythings was al right here. Any missing plugins?
    Cheers,

  17. Hi, It seems your website doesn’t work properly with google chrome, check it out if you want.

  18. I introduced myself to cigs when I was in my teens. It was the worst wrong move I’ve made. Now 30 years down the road I have found giving them up is harder than you can imagine. I attmpted all of the stopping aids but none did the trick. Then I discovered the electric cigarette. The smokeless cigarette uses a nicotine liquid that has just nicotine. No toxic substances at all. They have actually changed my life. No more inhaling smelly smoke feels great!

  19. I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

  25. Just thought i would comment and say neat design. Just bought the R-230KK Microwave. It browns meat just like an ordinary oven.

  26. This may be off-topic, but how about changing the layout every now and then? Maybe not if it won’t look right, but I just get tired of seeing the same thing all the time. My own computer has about 1000 wallpapers that randomly rotate every 15 minutes, lol. Adult ADD I guess. Good post though, thanks.
