…only three products in the range and very effective! EUOKO, a Canadian company, is a good skincare line with different ranges.

For the occasional blemish, I like to use the A-series from EUOKO {www.euoko.com}. It is excellent…only three products in the range The P-series is also good for men to use. I would say EUOKO, a Canadian company, is a clean line. A-series (acne, blemishes), P-seies (protection), W-series (whitening), R-series (radiance, brightening), Y-series (youth, anti-ageing).

Since you said you used to work at Clarins, I want to say that I do like two of the body products in the Clarins Men line, namely, the body scrub and the moisurizing spray. ….the abdo firming gel is not bad…All three products are not sold here in the US…I had ordered them from Europe.

Thank you very much for your view re: mineral oil and SLS. I feel much better knowing that you have personally worked with the head of laboratory at Sisley and also for your great knowledge concerning the subject matter. I really like Sisley’s Energizing Foaming Exfoliant [which contains SLS]. To me, it is the best body scrub for the shower. I am addicted to it. When you use a quality product, you want nothing else. I believe as you do that one has to evaluate the quality/grade of the ingredients and not dismiss a product solely because it lists an ingredient which has been given negative publicity.

Concerning the Mineral oil and the SLS, many people ask this question and many professionals too. Mineral Oil has many advantages: does not smell, does not taste, it is transparent and we know what is inside, so controllable. In a cream these are brilliant characteristics. Also it does not get “waisted” in time. It is used for ages in baby products, make up and in skincare in general. If you remember the Johnson & Johnson Baby oil, that was pure mineral oil! We also know that different brands use different kinds of distillation, so the effect on skin is more or less different. Some cosmetic regulations also talk about the comedogenic effect of mineral oil (specially in the US). But again depends a lot on the formulation. Sometimes the mineral oil is not really the issue 🙂 So, as the mineral oil stays on the skin, definitely is important to have a nice quality. I could also say that it is the best ingredient we have up to now on his category. By knowing well the head of Laboratory of Sisley (I worked with him when we were both at Clarins), he is really a quality fighter and will never take cheap ingredients. This goes well with Sisley philosophy.
Concerning the SLS, it is another matter. Many ecological associations have been accusing this to be dangerous and even connected to cancer. Today, nobody really knows. We have studies that shows in deed that in very high-dosage during a longtime exposure and in certain cases, we see some consequences. But you know, anything would bring you red skin in this situation, carrots, strawberries… even water…or the fragrances Alcohol.
But coming back to the ingredient category, it is the best ingredient we can find in a large scale that cleans the skin and gets you the “foam effect”. What everybody likes in a shower gel? getting the big foam like a foam party in the shower 🙂 A shower gel or a cleaning product needs to foam up to a certain way. So Cosmetic Brands feel very concern on not using too much of SLS but just the right amount. There is no international specifications about it but all the big brands have their own legislations in terms of quantity which is a good thing. And, you know, why should we use more ingredients than needed? if a formula is well balanced and that we are not trying to cheat on the customer, common sense, good taste and professionalism should be at honor. Don’t you think?

i forgot to mention to you that the 2 new Sisley products to be launched here in the States are the following: (1) SISLEŸA CONCENTRE ANTI-AGE FERMETE CORPS and (2) Sisley self-tanner for the face {do not recall the exact name} As you know, Sisley has self-tanning products [two shades 1 and 2 which state on the tube for face and body] as well as self-tanning products solely for the body. This new product is SOLELY for the face.

In short, I am from New York (as you know) , and Sisley’s Phyto-Blanc range is sold here. I am caucasian (very pale) and use this range from time to time because you never know what is lying underneath the surface. In short, I like the following lines: (1) Dior Homme Dermo System [I hope new products are launched from this range soon. Perhaps you have inside information about Dermo System. Several products from this range have already been discontinued. (2) Sisley [an excellent line…I think more people need to discover it.] (3) L’homme et la Mer [ a new men’s line…website http://www.homme-mer.com] I wrote to the founder via e-mail. {We communicate only in French.} I received samples of all 7 products. Then I bought the entire line. …still a sale of 40% discount on ALL products. …one of the best masks I ever tried… products are seaweed (green, blue, red algae) based…big fan of seaweed, shea butter, olive oil…
May I ask you a question? What do you think about “mineral oil” in skincare products? “sodium lauryl/laureth sulfate” ? I like Sisleyum veru much, and I believe the mineral oil in that product is of a different quality and is soluble. I also think SLS has gotten a bad rap. Unless you leave it n your skin for a very long, in most cases, I think it will not harm you. I look forward to your take on the matter.

Concerning the Phyto-Blanc, I also found quite brave for Sisley to come up with such product in Europe. As we know the big market for this kind of product is historically speaking : Asia.
I also got this week the Sisleÿa Body cream finally. Before I just saw it during the presentation meeting at Sisley. So a review will come soon.

I had commented in the past on Sisleyum. I just want to say that Sisley’s Phyto-Blanc range already has 8 products. The Phyto-Blanc clearing essence with vitamin C comes in 8 small vials. Mind you, this product is a little tricky to apply until you get the hang of it. Perhaps this new product will replace the old one. That would please me. Thank you for posting the upcoming launches.
