Android is for non internet users??

Last month Android broke the news by announcing a massive 75% of world market share in Mobiles. This shows how the Google OS became a pretty big standard in the highly competitive mobile market. But we realize in terms of internet connections, only 20% are Android. What?!!!

In the world there are around 300 million Android devices in circulation, from Tablets to smartphones.  Year by year Android grew by 250% while other OS were much more modest. By the end of this year, Google announced that every day there are 850,000 Android devices activations, which makes the big hit for this christmas.

But from online marketers perspective, nobody cares about Android. Why? Well first, it took Google years until they started making the life easier to Android developers. While Apple was taking good care of all developers with special conferences, dedicated kits, supports, helps, workshops… Android would make you turn around and around. We know that now it is much better but it is harder to get the people back.

According to Mashable, there are 43,000 IOS developers in the world (who published at least one app in the App store) vs 10,000 developers for Android. At the same time these figures are quite logical as Apps tend to be used by people who connects to internet in general and the figures for Android are just small.

In deed, although Android market share is 75% of all devices, when it comes to internet mobile users, it goes down the hill towards 20%. And this is a killing number in a world that becomes mobile. According to Business insider, only 21% of the total mobile traffic during Black Friday and Cyber morning were Android. 77% of the traffic came from Apple IOS. So still today you should probably develop your websites and Apps for Apple users rather than Android.

So the same Business insider dared to say that Android is for people who do nothing with their phones.  But frankly, why do we have such a big difference? One of the reasons can be the tablet market dominated by Apple IOS iPad. Since the relaunch of the iPad 3, Apple sells 11 iPads every hour in the world. During Black Friday, 88% of the traffic from Tablets came from iPads. Only 2,4% were the Amazon Kindle and 1,5% Samsung tablet. Other interesting information is the fact that statistically speaking, Apple users have higher revenues, so are more able to have internet connections and purchase online.

So if you are a marketer, developing your online business, you know that it is better to eat Apples rather than having robot buddies…

Mad Men is one of the most popular shows on television right now. It has picked up a bunch of Emmys and it seems like every week more and more people are saying “No, I can’t that night. I have to go home and watch Mad Men!” There are a lot of things to like about this show: the plot, the actors and, of course, the fashion.

Since Mad Men has become so popular there has been a real jump in men who are trying to dress (though hopefully not always act) like the men on the show.  There is definitely something appealing about the sleek suit and clean cut look. Don’t believe us? Just ask the ladies.

The good news is that it isn’t hard, or expensive, to look like the men on the show. Here is how you do it.

The most important thing that you can do if you want to dress like the men in the show is something that should be pretty obvious: buy a suit that actually fits you. If you can’t find one that fits you exactly, buy one that is as close as possible and then have it tailored. Most suits these days, even those you find in discount department stores, are built with future tailoring in mind.  And always pair the suit with a white or solidly near white colored shirt. No patterns here—that’s too “blue collar” for a Mad Man.

Go for suits with slimmer lapels. If the lapels are too wide you’ll look like you’re dressing up for a 1970s prom. Thinner lapels help the suit maintain a sleek look.

Mad-Men style

The goal is to create a not-so subtle “v” shape—with broader shoulders and thin waists. Find a suit that favors the shoulders and then tapers inward at the waist. Mad Men don’t wear boxy suits. Looking rectangular simply isn’t as sexy as looking like a triangle.

Look for some subtle patterns and textures. Solid or uniform colors look fine, but a pin stripe or woven pattern helps the suit stand out. Remember to keep this subtle. You don’t want to look like you’re wearing a zebra or a checkerboard.

Accessories are important. If you watch the show, you’ll see that Don Draper never wears a suit without a pocket square of white linen. You can, obviously, choose another color but avoid bright or bold colors. The darker and pastel shades work best.  The tie also needs to be solidly colored though the fabric can be textured. He initiates his parcour and starts with the French wine and Chateau-Neuf-du-Pape. A real amazing love story. Step by step, Mr Brecht discover the italian and the spanish wine and his career brings him in 2005 to work in Portugal for 3 years. While living there he discovered the portuguese wine and the port wine. He attended to several training and succeeded the prestigious title of Cavaleiro in 2006.
