A special mini-website was created and we can discover great information of the new Fall collection, a brand movie and above all the most qualitative “Real time” animation ever. For those who do not know what this means, here a short explanation. Most of elegant watch brands propose their watches with the real time displayed on the watch itself on screen. Of course the hands are totally recreated in 3D but here we have the feeling the watches were just filmed. Amazing, impressive and very qualitative.

Lanvin loves H&M winter 2010

Lanvin loves HM

We can say that one of the most classy brands around for the last 5 years is LANVIN. If a woman wears a Lanvin dress she is timeless. If a Man wears a Lanvin suit, he is just as elegant as hot.

And now the big event as 2 or 3 times per year is the new H&M collection designed by Lanvin. They started a full buzz campaign on Youtube by revealing part of a making off movie. We can see the top model Natasha Poli that already worked for both brands.

She explains basically to the camera how cool the new collection is to the camera. Unfortunetaly all the body parts covered by a Lanvin creation is blurred like if it was censored. H&M makes the buzz. And definetely it works because we are all waiting for that. In the meantime here are some cool videos from the buzz campaign. LA

Jean-Paul Gaultier for Roche Bobois Paris

jean_paul_gaultierThe french famous fashion designer Jean-Paul Gaultier created a very interesting furniture collection for the chic french brand Roche Bobois. To celebrate the french brand 50th anniversary, JP Gaultier is a special guest to create a full collection of furniture and house accessories called “Jean Paul Gaultier Pour Roche Bobois Paris”. We can say it is not a very complicated name right 🙂 Gaultier came up with six arrangements, with names like Dollar Bill, Tattoo, and Kiss. So Gaultier…roche bobois jeanpaul gaultier
We recognize the timeless style of the fashion designer and think that makes sense and even that Mr Gaultier could start a new carrier. We all know JP Gaultier, but do you know Roche Bobois?

Roche Bobois is the story of two families, Roche and Chouchan. The story begins in 1896, Fernand Roche left the Auvergne to the 12th arrondissement in Paris, where he created a company called Roche close to Fauboug Saint-Antoine, historic artisan furniture area. At that time, Chouchan manufacture and sell their furniture in Russia,until the 30s, when they emigrate to Paris, Boulevard Sebastopol “At Beau Bois,” which became “Bobois. In 1950, Jacques Roche buys the old Alexandre Dumas theater  Rue de Lyon and built two stores. Philip Francis and his two son, joined the company and together define the development strategy of the company.They engage to distribute the best contemporary French furniture specialists, strongly inspired by the Bauhaus, as Minvielle, Steiner or Airborne, but also in publishing projects renowned designers such as Pierre Paulin and Marc Berthier.

It is on the Brand DNA to publish great designers and Mr Gaultier join the prestigious portraits gallery and now the question is: can we define these creations as furniture or as Contemporary Art? Goldfrapp – New album Head First

Goldfrapp is finally back. After a quite longtime, they are back with a new brand album called Head First. It is the fifth album of the english group. Goldfrapp explains that this new album is: “the most powerful trip to date, a speedy rush of synth optimism, euphoria, fantasy and romance. With life affirming lyrics and stellar production it lifts off at full tilt and takes us on a journey to the heart of 2010”.
I must say I was quite excited because not only I have been listening to it in a kind of endless process but also that the group was coming to my city last sunday for a special show. I got the tickets but the singer, Allison Goldfrapp was sick…. too bad. So it will not be for this time. I still have the album. My preferred song is Believer. What about you?

Kate is like Diamonds… eternal!

Vogue Paris just released a new shooting with…. Kate Moss. It does not sound so original right? The thing is that damm, she looks great. Kate Moss started her career more than 10 years ago and she still looks IN. Some models just pass by and get outdated. Kate always looks like the “next year girl”.  She looks modern, young and definitely a great inspirations for photographers around the globe.

For this edition, Vogue Paris asked 2 photographers, Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin to put on stage Kate M. This dutch duo have been working together for a while and their creations are well known for fashion magazines like V magazine, Vogue and even The New York Times. They photographed advertising campaigns for Yves Saint Laurent, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Viktor&Rolf, Jimmy Choo and even H&M. Here are some of my preferred pictures. Kate is eternal.

Citadium – The temple of StreetStyle in Paris

Reading Time: 2 minutesWho already went to Paris and visit Citadium? If you did go to Paris and did not visit Citadium, is because you are not interested in StreetCulture. Because in deed, Citadium IS THE TEMPLE OF STREET in Paris.

The first store, or I should say Megastore, opened in 2000 under the creative vision of Printemps Department Sores. A parisian place that mixes the StreetStyle, Skate culture, Rock and sport attitude with a high pitched fashion taste. My friends would say: “this is dynamite honey”. The first store gathers more than 250 brands in a huge 20,000 square feet store! You need to see.

In time Citadium become one of the important references in fashion and life style with a huge street influence. Basically: “Be there or be square”.

10 years after the first opening, and in order to celebrate the 10th anniversary, Citadium revealed its new store concept and opened a cool place in the city center between Le Marais and the Halles.
A full teasing and buzz campaign was put in place in order to reveal the event. Check here the last video reavealing the new store address:

Balenciaga Beauty? The Black & White Experience

Reading Time: 2 minutesAfter the very beautiful and successful launch of Balenciaga Paris, the new Fragrance of Balenciaga, now the brand has “Beauty Ambitions”. They are launching 3 products under a very timeless luxury theme: Black & White.

Balenciaga paris black & white2 body products and one Travel spray. The first product is a Body Scrubbing, but not anyone… a black one. The texture is very surprising. It is a scrubbing Gel with an astonishing black intense colour, like a black beauty caviar. It is supposed to enlight and clean the body skin and let your skin slightly fragranced. After the arshness of black, the softness of White: a beauty body cream based in Karité butter.

The 2 products are packaged in a very qualitative packaging with all luxury aspects. Some say it is a “simple” body line extension from the Fragrance launched during the 1st half of this year. We can smell this beautiful, timeless and powdery violet, also present in the fragrance.

I think this can be more than a line extension. I would bet it is a test made by the brand to check the possibility to develop a full line of cosmetics, like Dior or YSL. All classical brands with a modern fashionable twist… ready to create Must have products…
We can see that the Black Exfoliator is already a Must Have…
Final but not least, the Travel spray was craft on the theme Black & White. Shaped inBalenciaga paris black & whitean octagonal silhouette, its white body wears black stripes like designed on the mass. Very chic, elegant and “convenient to be showed in public”.

I think Balenciaga follows its path of elegance and fashion attitude, something Dior has succeded on the past 10 years. Nicolas Ghesquière keeps the road as Artistic Director of the Brand. We still need to wait September to be able to buy these beauties at all Balenciaga Parfums point of sales and specially the brand stores.
