The past year has changed the way we work, and millions of people from all over the world are now working from home. As a result, we’ve also started to create dedicated spaces for work, and some of us are getting design inspiration from celebrity home offices, such as Kourtney Kardashian’s farmhouse-inspired office or Victoria Beckham’s ultramodern work space. If you’re thinking about redecorating your existing home office, here are some luxury design ideas to enhance your work space.

All-white with pops of color

According to Texas-based interior designer Jennifer Fisher, it’s important to reflect your personal style and preferences when redecorating, but make it fit the tone and vibe of your location. Whether you’re in the Swiss capital of Bern or in the ultra posh town of Atherton in California, an all-white home office with pops of color will blend beautifully with your surroundings and the rest of your home décor. Consider having all-white built-in bookshelves on the walls, a white leather office chair,  a white marble-topped desk, and a white couch along one side of the room. Add subtle pops of color with artwork and accessories, as well as a vase of fresh flowers on the table. As a finishing touch, have a chandelier on the ceiling for illumination and added elegance.

Built-in features for comfort and entertainment

If you spend most of your time in your home office, then it makes sense to make it as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Consider having a built-in wet bar or coffee bar so you can make cocktails or coffee during breaks. You may even have an ethanol fireplace built into a wall to warm the room up and give it an inviting ambiance. Meanwhile, a custom-built aquarium that spans the wall behind your desk can serve as a piece of living art and gives your home office a touch of nature.

Accessories for health and wellness

A few well-chosen accessories and appliances can help you stay healthy while working from home. Have a small to medium-sized fridge to stock fresh juices, fruits and cheese so you can have a healthy snack without leaving your home office. To get some exercise while working on your laptop, consider having a treadmill desk in your work space. If you don’t like the look of this device, you can have a folding under-desk treadmill that you can keep under your couch or table when the workday is done. You may also want to install some hidden speakers so you can listen to relaxing music to unwind after a stressful day.

Give your home office a touch of luxury with these design and decoration ideas. Include things that will make working from home a pleasure, and you’ll surely enjoy working remotely even more.
