60 years in a throne needs celebration. In deed our dear Queen Elisabeth will celebrate 60 years of reign next year, which we called Diamond Jubilee. On the 6th February 1952, Queen Elisabeth the II, took the throne of the seven countries of the Commonwealth after her father died, King George VI. Only Queen Victoria, in 1897, is thus far the only monarch in the histories of Britain and a few other commonwealth countries members to have celebrated a Diamond Jubilee. Following the tradition of past jubilees, a Diamond Jubilee medal will be issued in various countries. Here above, the canadian medal.
