The kitchen is an area of your household that sees a lot of wear and tear. From stains to damage brought on by temperature variations and humidity, your kitchen goes through a lot. And while the space exists to fulfil a practical purpose, meal preparation, it’s natural that you’d also want it to look nice. However, starting a renovation project can be daunting. It can be challenging to decide what you want to do with your kitchen and what you want the finished look to be.
One of the best choices you could make is to opt for designs that elevate your kitchen and provide it with a sense of quiet luxury and elegance. This means that you’ll choose items and styles with a timelessness to them, so you don’t have to worry about constant makeovers that can help you keep up with all the upcoming trends.
Update the cabinets
Kitchen cabinets are the central piece of your kitchen. To create a cohesive design, you must choose everything based on your cabinets. Their overall look is also critical. If your cupboards have experienced a lot of wear and tear and they’re peeling or faded, they won’t provide the overall ensemble with any lustre. For this reason, you must be careful when choosing new cabinets for your kitchen.
Browsing through the available options at Kitchen Warehouse Ltd can provide you with plenty of inspiration. The only problem will be to decide on only one cabinet design, given that all the options are gorgeous and come at an affordable price. Regardless of the colour palette, materials or arrangement you’ve got in mind, you can find something that suits your taste and will become a permanent addition to your kitchen. When you choose quality materials, you ensure that your cabinets will be resistant to cooking steam or stains, harsh cleaning products, creative children who may decide to use the cupboards as an art project, or pets that want to scratch any surface in sight.
Add texture
Design isn’t just about shades and layout. The textures you choose are also important. Displaying jars, plates, or pans is one way to achieve this. You can accomplish this by installing shelves in your kitchen, hanging items from displays mounted from the ceiling, or simply placing them on your countertop. Jars are one of the most versatile items you can arrange this way. Filling them with dried spices, pasta or beans provides natural splashes of colour. The choice you make, however, should primarily be dependent on the space you have at your disposal. If your kitchen is on the smaller side, you don’t want to overcrowd it with too many items on display since it can reduce the space even further.
You can also add texture by choosing the doors of your furnishings in a v-groove or fluted design. Traditionally associated with vintage styles, the look has seen a resurgence in recent years. The colours you choose are also fundamental, and natural variations are a great way to appeal to the visual sense. When you know how to contrast different colours, you can create a focal point, the centre point from which everything else can be observed and compared with its surroundings.

Plants, plants, plants
Houseplants are a great addition to any home. However, you may have yet to consider adding them to your kitchen. However, they’re an obvious choice when you’re looking to elevate your kitchen space. Plants help provide the place with an organic and clean look, all while adding a welcoming touch to the room. Ideally, you’ll want to go for natural plants, but if you have discovered that you have no talent for caring for them, the artificial variety will do as well. Just make sure that they’re as realistic and close to the real deal as possible.
On the other hand, if you’ve got a natural talent for growing plants, you can take it a step further and look for floral arrangements in vibrant colours. Some of the sturdiest plants that can thrive in the kitchen include the aluminium plant, aloe vera, English Ivy and the cast iron plant. If you’d like to grow something you can use for cooking, basil and rosemary are the most obvious choices. And, of course, all succulents are an obvious choice since they’re low-maintenance plants. They might work even for those who have generally had bad luck growing plants.
Island seating
Islands are among the most common makeover choices you could make for your kitchen. You can choose from countless variations, proof of the design’s timeless qualities. Depending on your choice, you can select a setup that fits the rest of your kitchen or opt for the daring alternative and go for something that breaks the mould. For example, if the rest of your kitchen was created on a palette of neutral tones, you can choose an island and chairs in marine blue or burnt orange. This pop of colour will make for an eye-catching statement.
Flooring
When it comes to floors, durability should be your priority. Wooden floors are the best option, as they’re sturdy and highly resistant to everything you might bring their way. Moreover, the design is timeless and will always look good. You might even discover that your floors look better a few years after installing them than when they were brand new. This is the charm of natural materials: they tend to only get better with age.
Stone floors are also ideal for places with heavy floor traffic. They create a naturally elegant look, don’t attract dust and can even increase your home’s value if you decide to sell in the future. The best options are granite, marble and slate. When you make your choice, choose with an eye on your budget, the variety of colours and finishes available, and the level of sophistication you want to achieve.
Upgrading your kitchen with design choices that can elevate it is always a good decision. Before you embark on a project, sit down and create a definitive plan. You don’t want to lose sight of anything along the way.

After a fantastic fashion show of the CHANEL Métiers d’art 2022/23 collection, presented on 6 December 2022 in Dakar, Senegal, le19M is taking a new step by launching its first international programme there. While the influence of Dakaris recognized on the global cultural and creative scene, the entire country of Senegal is replete with artisanal expertise, a heritage to which le19M is particularly sensitive. Thus, from Thursday 12 January 2023 and for several months, le19M is setting up an off-site gallery in Dakar with the help of the Institut fondamental d’Afrique noire (IFAN) on the site of the Musée Théodore-Monod d’art africain.
la Galerie du 19M Dakar: a story of embroidery and weaving crafts
“The opening of la Galerie du 19M Dakar will celebrate the richness of craftsmanship. Entitled” Sur le fil” (On the thread in French), the programme will showcase a beautiful story of embroidery and weaving crafts combined with other artistic disciplines like painting, photography and installations. During the exhibition, visitors will discover numerous contemporary artists working with textiles, some of which collaborate with le19 M’s Maisons d’art. This exhibition will be presented parallel to heritage pieces from the Musée Théodore-Monod d’Art Africain collections.
Several artisans will be producing and showcasing their Art in front of the audience in live conditions. This will lead to participatory workshops led by guest artists in residence.
la Galerie du 19M Dakar: Showcase priceless artisanal skills
la Galerie du 19M Dakar is the guest of honour of the 11th edition of Partcours. It is an annual cultural event that brings together 30 spaces of both Art and craft in Dakar during the first two weeks of December. Created in 2012 by RAW Material Company and Atelier Céramiques Almadies, Partcours is a synergistic event which brings together gallery owners, artists, and the public, inviting them to discover Dakar’s different districts in a new light.

The aim of la Galerie du 19M Dakar is to showcase priceless artisanal skills to the broadest possible audience, to reassert the value of handicrafts, to encourage their dissemination, and to spark vocation among the general public, school children, students, families, and lovers of craft. The gallery’s programme was conceived by an editorial committee composed of Senegalese creative figures or experts in its art scene. This committee is also accompanied by artistic contributors.
“The launch of la Galerie du 19M Dakar coincides, almost to the day, withthe first anniversary of the inauguration of la Galerie du 19M in Paris /Aubervilliers and its opening to the public. Africa can be entered through Dakar. It is a true gateway to the continent. The Atlantic Ocean encircles it on three sides as it protrudes into it. It is closer to Lisbon than Cape Town and the most westerly point on the continent. Dakar’s creativity is in its genes. Everybody has a particular relationship with Art. It is everywhere, and we can say that Senegal is a fantastic place connecting Art and craftsmanship. With this exciting initiative, le19M opens a new window to creativity. This exhibition is worth visiting if you are travelling to Dakar in the new year.

According to Netflix, the new series had 341.2 million hours streamed after just seven days. With such a buzz, Wednesday Addams became a true icon for all gothic girls. The intention of Charles Addams at the end of the 30s was to create a living critic of American society at that time. Wednesday’s diabolic smarts make her a force to be reckoned with, and over the years, the fictional character has accumulated a cult following.
“I’m not a freak — I’m a force of nature.”
Wednesday Addams – In the 2021 Addams Family Movie
Why is Wednesday Addams such an icon?
Generations of teenage girls could identify themselves with Wednesday Addams because she would dare to showcase her difference. And this is inspiring. She explains to adolescent girls worldwide that being free from historical standards is possible and that it is important to stay loyal to oneself. Wednesday Addams is a powerful character and becomes a true modern inspiration. She is torn between hating or loving her parents. She wants to free herself from everything and, simultaneously, not find herself alone—plenty of equally legitimate paradoxes for teenage girls worldwide. Wednesday, Addams becomes a true icon.

The above picture shows Bella Hadid at the MET GALA event this year. While the central theme was “white tie”, that gothic black look was memorable. Some of you might say gothic never left the scene, and it has been a definite trend for the past years, but to be honest, it was left aside for a while. Since this year, we can see it coming back to mainstream culture. We left the “SM” dark side of gothic in the shadows, and we saw a more hot-glamour girlfriend experience arousing all the pages of magazines and social media. For a while, all things considered, “gothic” would be strange and unusual, but now it is not perceived anymore like that.
Probably the pandemic has stroke people with darker thoughts of death, mortality and illness. Nevertheless, these feelings are expressed in a much more aesthetic way than before. On Pinterest, searches like “Wednesday Addams goes to the office” or “Goth business casual” has become a trend. Well, Netflix and Tim Burton played a tremendous card by bringing back top of minds the little gothic princess. And according to all goth gods, it is here now to stay for good.

Wakesurfing is one of the many water sports you can indulge in besides scuba diving, surfing, and water skiing. This sport entails you surfing behind a boat that creates a wake for you to surf along. Sounds easy, right? But it still depends on the circumstances. The easy aspect of the sport lies with the accessories you use. The appropriate gear will ensure you have an easy time and you’ll enjoy the sport; the opposite applies in equal measure. One of the wakesurfing accessories you need is a wakesurf board.
The wakesurf board market provides many options, meaning you must be careful with your choice. As a beginner in the sport, you may be wondering what’s the ideal wakesurf board for you. Here’s a guide on your selection process:
Consider The Brand
Like in any other industry, many companies manufacture wakesurf boards. Quality might be an issue with the many options since companies will adopt different manufacturing techniques. Therefore, you should consider the brand of your wakesurf board.
It’s important to research and find the most preferred brand with wakesurf boards. For example, most people prefer USA made wakesurf boards like Swell Wake’s collection. It shows the company has a good reputation, which you can trust to provide your ideal board. A board from a reputable brand will assure you of your safety as you wakesurf and ensure longevity. You’ll get value for your money.
Look At The Type Of Board
Wakesurf boards tend to come in three types: surf, skim, and hybrid. The differentiating factors are their shape and functions.
The surf-style wakesurf board is often short and wide. The big surface area provides room for stability; hence, it’s the best for beginners. This board floats well and helps you master the sport without endangering your life. However, you can’t do as many tricks with this option as the others.
On the other hand, the skim wakesurf board tends to be narrow and long. Its appearance requires you to have the ability to balance on the board without tipping over. As a result, you need to have skills for the sport.
Now, there’s a balance between the two extreme types, and it’s the hybrid wakesurf board. This board has the features of both surf and skim-style boards. For instance, you’ll find a wider board like the surf-style board but narrow like the skim board. The hybrid board gives a taste of the two extreme board options for the sport. You might have advanced your skills as a beginner, but they’re not perfect enough for an expert. The hybrid allows you to grow your skills through its skim-style design with the safety features of the surf-style board.
Photo by Artem Kuznetsov on Pexels.com
Consider The Size
The size of your wakesurf body greatly determines the level of comfort you’ll have as you wakesurf. So, you want to look at the length of the board. Your choice of length should go hand in hand with your height.
In most cases, you’ll find that taller people need more stability. Therefore, choose a board whose length allows you to wakesurf without strain on your leg muscles. You want your focus to be on surfing, not the pain in your legs due to the wrong posture. Your chosen vendor should guide you accordingly.
In terms of size, your chosen board should be able to hold your weight; various wakesurf size charts give guidance on this. For instance, if you weigh approximately 110 pounds, you should choose a board whose length is approximately 125 cm if you opt for a shorter board and 134 cm for a longer board. Be sure to measure your weight and height before purchasing, and follow the size chart accordingly.
Consider The Rails Of The Board
The rail is the edge of your wakesurf board and determines how water moves past your board. Here, there are two aspects to look at: the board’s thickness and shape.
A wakesurf board whose rail is thick will move slowly against the wake the boat has created. The result is moderate speed as you wakesurf. It’s ideal for beginners. On the other hand, a thin rail will make the board cut through the water at a faster rate.
Regarding the shape, some rails have a full shape, while others have a harder shape. The full shape is more or less round, allowing your board to glide against the wake smoothly. The opposite applies to the harder shape.
Your choice of rails should depend on the type of wakesurfing you want to enjoy. A harder and thin rail is best for you if you prefer high speeds. In contrast, your go-to choice for average to low speed should be the full and thick rail.
Conclusion
This discussion has established the importance of a wakesurf board as you learn and perfect your skills in wakesurfing. It further guides you on ensuring you settle for the right wakesurf board as a beginner. Consider implementing this guide as you purchase your board. Should you encounter any uncertainty when purchasing, your wakesurfing needs and safety should guide you appropriately.

One of the key elements of human culture is poetry. Poems have a deep connection with history, culture, struggles, and victories. Every poem narrates a different story. And every story evokes emotion. Learning how to read and write poems can greatly improve your writing skills. Unlike novels or storybooks, poems are shorter and quite challenging. Regardless of your education level, you have all it takes to get started with poetry. Writing poems doesn’t have to be a boring chore. By understanding all its elements, you’ll have an easy time composing your first one. Here are the benefits of poetry.
Purpose of poetry
It can be quite difficult to describe the purpose of poetry accurately. Why is poetry here with us? There are a few important things that you should keep in mind. Many cultures have invested a lot of time and energy in creating art. Most of the early pieces of evidence exist today in form of sculptures and paintings. Poetry was created because it is irresistible to human beings. Every poem was created for a specific reason. Poets write to record mythical or historical events. Others right to express their truths about certain subjects or ideas, paint a clear picture of a concept, and entertain readers.
Benefits of learning poetry
In this article, we are going to discuss the surprising poetry pros that you’ll enjoy by learning poetry:
1. Development learning
In most learning institutions, you’ll find learners whose verbal and writing skills are underdeveloped to some extent. Reading poetry essays examples can help in stringing different words together, learning about rhythm, and logical understanding of words and how they fit. Apart from that, it helps students to express themselves creatively – the one thing that is lacking in the modern world. In short, poetry is a tool for improving vocabulary and the learning process. There are a lot of essay poem example online. You don’t have to spend hours in the library looking for poetry essays examples. Using your phone, you can find an essay about poetry example and poem analysis essay examples.

Speaking, writing and understanding can all be nurtured and influenced by poetry. Learning about existing writing rules and practicing with poetry will make your writing beautiful. When you speak poetry loudly with its rhythm, beat, and rhyme, you will greatly improve your verbal communication. Understanding poetry will also give you the fortitude and drive to write excellent pieces.
3. It improves ideas
Why do people write poetry? Have you ever found yourself staring at a blank screen not knowing where to start? If yes, you should consider grabbing a poetry book and going through different excerpts. By doing this, you’ll start generating brilliant ideas that you can use to speed up your writing process. It will also help you change how you think about things. It’s one of the best ways to improve visual descriptions, and experiences and have positive emotions.
4. It is therapeutic
Poetry therapy involves the use of the written word to comprehend and communicate thoughts and emotions. Poems are usually short and emotional. At times, it’s difficult to express oneself. And poetry is one of the most effective outlets.
5. It is therapy for the reader
Why are poems important? If you tend to have a hard time expressing yourself, reading a poem can have similar effects to writing it down. It will help you figure out what is weighing the heart and mind of the author. And open doors to emotions that you might have suppressed. Reading poems shines a light on the darkest areas of your heart and mind thus keeping you open to the world.
6. The importance of words
Unlike books, poems are usually short but with strategic sentences. Reading and writing poems makes it easy for you to understand the importance of every word and its placement. At times, a single word can change the entire meaning of the poem. As you write your poem, you’ll be forced to consider every piece and length of your verses. You’ll appreciate the words that you use as you handle delicate structures.
Conclusion
There are a lot of benefits of poetry for students. If you are feeling out of place or wondering why you are thinking in a certain way, you should consider reading poems. Apart from improving your reading and writing skills, poetry helps you gain mastery of yourself. You’ll learn how to streamline your thoughts and emotions to achieve your goals. You’ll get insights about yourself that you never knew existed. And make changes as early as possible. In college, life is not easy. If you are having problems, you should consider seeking help from the experts. Getting help is a sign of strength.

If the internet is considered a true innovation of the 20th century, social networks should be perceived as a real revolution. They represent almost limitless opportunities, and their invention has seen the arrival of a new generation of digital entrepreneurs: Discover Morgane Schaller, a talented digital Business Coach and a passionate Travel Blogger. Morgane Schaller has travelled the world for more than seven years, sharing her passion for travel, encounters and experiences. Less than two years ago, she started a career as a business coach, allowing her to share her expertise. It thus helps the future generation of digital entrepreneurs to get off to a good start. Despite her busy schedule, she agreed to play the game of our exclusive interview.
LuxuryActivist (LA): Dear Morgane, you are from the Swiss Jura, Rebeuvelier, I think. How would you explain your region to someone who does not know it? Morgane Schaller (MS): That’s right. I was born in Moutier (a town which is now part of the canton of Jura), originally from Rebeuvelier and all my family still lives in Jura. It is a region of “Bon vivants” where everyone knows each other, very nature and terroir oriented. There are magnificent places to discover, such as St-Ursanne, a medieval city “in its own way”, which notably inspired the designer of The Lord of the Rings (John Howe), the pastures of the Franches-Montagnes, the Abbey of Bellelay or the Rochers des Sommetres.
LA: What do you keep, in your heart, from your origins, and why is it interesting to be Swiss in today’s world? Do you think you have a particular look at the world around you? MS: I was fortunate to have grown up in contact with many different cultures. It should not be forgotten that in Switzerland, there are almost 40% of foreigners, which allows you to have a remarkably open outlook on the outside and adapt very quickly to cultural differences. At the age of 15, I was already confronted with bilingualism since I followed my higher education in Biel and half of the students in my class spoke two languages or even more. Living in Switzerland allows you to have an international experience without leaving the country, which is fascinating. It is an absolute wealth of which we are not sufficiently aware as Swiss but which takes on its whole meaning when we travel and discover the world.
Photo: Morgane Schaller
LA: In 2017, you left the world of watchmaking and your comfort zone to devote yourself to writing, photography and travel stories. What happened? What reason brought you to such a change? MS: I guess I never really “fit into the mould”. Company codes have always bored me very quickly. I have known mobbing, toxic bosses, oversized egos, and sexism… the perfect cocktail to disgust you for life with an employee position. Anyway, I was too dreamy and too ambitious to settle for five weeks of vacation a year and a salary whose growth was limited to the goodwill of my superior.
In 2017 I was already very active on social networks; I earned some money as a content creator alongside my job – but not enough to live off of it. I had the project to quit my job, travel for six months and then… we would see. Except that nothing went as planned. The friend I was supposed to travel with dropped me at the last moment, and I found myself backed up against the wall. I went to the United States for a month and started as a freelancer in content creation and writing articles for my travel blog. In less than a year, I matched my employee salary while living the life I had always dreamed of.
For the little anecdote, it took me more than a year to be able to contribute to the AVS (the central pillar of retirement pensions in Switzerland) and be recognized as self-employed. The canton of Bern did not recognize content creation as a profession, while I had income and many customers. I finally had to go to their offices in Bern to explain how I made a living so that they would accept my contribution.
LA: We can see that the attraction for going abroad is not new. Your studies in Madrid, then your travels as an influencer-blogger, represent already many destinations. Where does this taste for travel come from? MS: I grew up in a family that loved culture, art and literature. Each year we discovered different countries with my parents and my two sisters. I have very good memories of our distant trips to Canada and Mexico. From the age of 14, my parents insisted that I go on a language trip every summer. I went several times to Germany, England and Spain. As a child and teenager, I was very shy and introverted. These experiences – alone abroad, on my own in an unknown place – were incredibly complicated to manage, especially in the first days. I had to do real work on myself to open up to others and get out of my comfort zone. But that’s what allowed me to meet wonderful people, to experience magical moments… and that’s the beauty of travel.
LA: What do you keep from all your travels? What is the best side of all your adventures? MS: Definitely meeting people. I had the chance to make unforgettable encounters, to be part of another person’s life for a few hours or a few days and to be able to talk about everything and nothing at the same time as if we were best friends in the world! The short side of travel allows you to appreciate every moment, realize how lucky you are to live those moments, and give meaning to your life.

LA: What trip, in particular, do you keep an unforgettable memory of? And why? MS: There is this trip to the South of Tunisia, where I got there without my suitcase because it had remained in Italy, where I was still the previous day. So I spent a week in the Tunisian desert with nothing, no spare clothes, no accessories. Fortunately, my travel buddy (Valentine from the blog www.awwway.ch) helped me out by lending me a few items.
This trip to Reunion island became a fiasco because of the French “yellow vests”. Impossible to circulate on the island because all the roads were blocked. There was a curfew, and young people were burning cars. In short, the mess. The tourist office did not know what to do with us! We returned the following year, and the stay was unforgettable!
I have a remarkable memory of my trip to Slovenia because we were accompanied throughout the week by a fantastic guide, in love & passionate about his country. The weather was perfect, and the fall colours were magical. A great memory!
LA: If a brand would like to start a collaboration with influencers, what questions should it ask itself before undertaking such a process? Is influencer marketing possible for all brands? MS: Yes, influencer marketing is possible for all brands if this communication channel makes sense for the company. Before starting a collaboration, I advise companies to brainstorm on the type of profile they want to work with, to segment them according to their niche, the countries they mainly reach, and their creativity. I recommend having a strategic approach and a specific objective during the campaign.
Requesting a screenshot/video of the influencer’s statistics is imperative because the platforms that offer this service are not always in line with reality. Obviously, plan a budget because content creation is a real job!

LA: The world of “influencers” has changed significantly over the past ten years. Influencer marketing has changed the rules quite a bit. How do you see these developments? MS: Influencer marketing has become a real job, and you can live 100% from this activity even if you are a micro-influencer, which was not the case five years ago. The evolution of this market has made it possible to put stricter rules and a more systematic approach in place, which generally improves conditions for companies (access to statistics, more transparency on the result) and for the content creator (remuneration, promotion of the profession). However, today the competition is more challenging, and the race for quick money through promotions of dubious articles gives a terrible image to the business of influence. This is deplorable and a pity for influencers offering a truly solid creative universe.
“MY GOAL IS TO help 500 WOMEN BY 2025 TO BE FINANCIALLY independent AND I CLEARLY INTEND TO ACHIEVE IT”.
Morgane Schaller, about her activity of Business Coach
LA: You have now taken a new step in your career by becoming a Business Coach. Why this change? And why now? MS: After seven years in the influence business, I wanted to give another dynamic to my career. I grew up, evolved, and collaborations on social networks no longer matched the image of the thirty-something I had become. Since the beginning of my business, I have provided a lot of strategic advice to those around my community and me, and I have noticed that there is still little concrete support in the French-speaking world.
My experience, my studies in management, and my strategic vision give me legitimacy in this field. The combination of all these elements allow me to support ambitious women entrepreneurs in developing their business today. It is an exercise that procures me a certain plenitude. My goal is to help 500 women by 2025 to be financially independent, and I clearly intend to achieve it.
LA: What are the people who sign up for your coaching programs looking for? What is different compared to other training in the field? MS: Above all, my clients are looking for structure and proven strategies. But sometimes they just need someone who can motivate them, someone who can make them aware of their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and guide them through the different stages of their business. When you embark on online entrepreneurship, you realize how much loneliness is a challenge in the development of your activity. Nobody is there to help us, support us, give us feedback, and we are constantly confronted with our own thoughts.
Being coached allows to broaden one’s horizons and stay focused on our goals. There is so much information available online today that it is very difficult to distinguish the truth from the false, what works for your type of business, what to discard… it’s a real adventure.
My coaching program is different since it is based on my experience. I teach the strategies, methods, processes that I myself have used in my business, and I know that it works otherwise I would not be where I am today.

LA: Tell us something about yourself that not many people know and that deserves to be mentioned here. MS: While everything looks rosy and beautiful on social media, the world of content creation isn’t always kind to everyone, and it certainly wasn’t to me. I have known haters who have not hesitated to destroy my reputation publicly and my inner peace to feed their ego, I have trusted toxic managers who have robbed and threatened me, I have sometimes lost a lot of money by working with agencies and brands that were not always correct.
My advice for people who get into this business is to protect themselves as much as possible legally, set up contracts, have insurance if possible, and always listen to their instincts. In the jungle you can only trust yourself.
LA: What can we wish you for the future? MS: To continue to be free and fulfilled as I am now. A life without compromise and without regrets is possible, just take the first step 😊

Christmas is only in 5 weeks’ time, and we can start thinking about gifts and how to spice up the holiday season. Generally, there is one beverage that rhymes with the party: It is Champagne! Fine bubbles are the perfect way to cheer you up and forget about problems. When the smell of cinnamon, cardamom and vanilla strikes and the wooden chalets of the Christmas village create a romantic mood, it’s time to think about elegant gifts. Lovers of refined pleasures will undoubtedly find what they are looking for in the following selection. Here are my favourite Champagne limited editions for the best end-of-the-year celebrations.
Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2008: eccentricity meets tradition
Photo: Dom Pérignon
How to describe this limited edition by Dom Pérignon and Lady Gaga? We can probably say full of character, confident and daring. This description is valid for both Lady Gaga and Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2008. This limited edition, created in collaboration with the artist, combines these characteristics most beautifully. The eccentric design of the packaging – the bottle presses outwards like a balloon, as if to escape the shiny metallic pink packaging – reflects the soul of the wine, the pinot noir, as are the tasting notes of raspberry, violet, peony and white pepper—a guaranteed statement under the Christmas tree. https://www.domperignon.com
Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs 2010: like an elegant evening dress
Photo: Ruinart
The patience, foresight and imagination of the Cellar Master made the Chardonnay grapes of the 2010 vintage an exceptional champagne. In this cuvée, we sense the aromatic freshness of Chardonnay, which is the Ruinart signature. Allied to time, it is expressed here with even more depth, amplitude and complexity thanks to the printing under the cork. Thus, Ruinart puts back into use the gesture of disgorging and manual dressing. But its appearance is also convincing. The chalk box was designed like a block of chalk that also protects the Dom Ruinart bottle, remaining in relief and solid, made of recyclable wood fibre paper and produced in a sustainable way. The pencil case is 11 times lighter than the previous generation of Dom Ruinart cases, making it the ideal holiday gift. https://www.ruinart.com
Armand de Brignac: like a precious facetted stone.
Photo: Armand de Brignac
Handwork is at the heart of this special limited edition from Armand de Brignac. Each bottle is hand decorated with French pewter labels in gold and pink – matching the design of the bottle. The content of this exceptional champagne, made up of a trio of vintages, is also unique. Each blend brings together the unique characteristics of three different harvests while maintaining its strong ancestry year after year. Sustainability is another principle of the estate and its administrators, the Cattier family. Their land is HVE level 3 certified, the highest rating from the French government. https://armanddebrignac.com
Moët Impérial Spark of Light Limited Edition: the perfect party
Photo: Moët & Chandon
This gem limited to a few bottles should grace any gift table. Moët Impérial champagne, known and sought after for its fruity notes, seductive nuances and elegant maturity, has been an icon of the Maison Moët & Chandon for more than 150 years. For this Christmas, the bottle is dressed in a glamorous case whose designs recall the golden light effects of fireworks, thus more than deserving its name of Spark of Light. https://www.moet.com
Icons by Veuve Clicquot: Legends of party time
Photo: Veuve Clicquot
An ode to the sunny yellow colour, emblem of the Champagne House, as memorable as a day of radiant sunshine in Champagne region. For its 250th anniversary, Veuve Clicquot presents three iconic accessories in a new edition – ideal as a gift for design and champagne fans:
Clicquot Fridge x Smeg: The charming Veuve Clicquot Fridge edition (in collaboration with appliance manufacturer Smeg) is guaranteed to grab attention. The mini fridge, whose design is inspired by the 1950s, keeps the bottle of champagne at drinking temperature for two hours. It is made of recyclable sheet metal, and its lid is made of sugar cane waste.
Ice Jacket: This is tailor-made for the bottle of champagne and keeps it cool for up to an hour. The designer Debbie Petrou used for its manufacture an innovative high-tech process from the fashion industry called 3D knitting, which generates 30% less waste than traditional methods. The Ice Jacket can also be personalized, for example, with the recipient’s name or a Christmas message – creativity has no limits.
Clicquot Arrow: Choose a destination and discover the distance that separates it from the birthplace of the bottle of champagne in its cellar in Reims. The Clicquot Arrow is an arrow that hides inside a bottle of the legendary Veuve Clicquot Carte Jaune, which was first launched in 2016. The reissue is made of tin sheet metal and 30% recycled materials and will not only be a good gift for globetrotters under the Christmas tree but also an iconic decorative object. https://www.veuveclicquot.com
In conclusion, This holiday season will be very festive and after all the last unusual couple of years, we all expect more happiness and warm hearted moments. Happy holiday season with sparkles and bubbles!

Ask anyone who’s ever had to move out before and they’ll not shy away from sharing all the negative things about it. For the most part, there’s some truth to the negativity—moving houses can be a mentally taxing and stressful experience, after all, especially if you’re setting out on your own for the first time.
But don’t let these horror stories set an unwavering impression on you. With a little bit of planning and forethought, moving out can be a smooth and manageable challenge that you and your family can conquer. As moving day fast approaches, here are our top tips for moving to a new place with grace and elegance.
1) Purge the Unnecessary
If you’ve lived in your current home for decades, you’ve probably accumulated a lot of trinkets and knick-knacks over the years. Before you start boxing all these items up, consider getting rid of these items that don’t add value to your life.
While they may have some sentimental value to you now, items that you’ve outgrown will wound up being a burden to you in your new home. They could just end up cluttering your house and taking up precious storage space. Be ruthless when you start sorting through your belongings and figure out which items to keep, donate or sell to your local neighbourhood.

2) Hire a Removalist Company
Lugging a box of heavy items to unload to your truck can make you feel cool and strong at the start, but multiply that task by ten and you’ll undoubtedly be sick of it.
Instead of performing the back-breaking work by yourself, consider hiring professional movers on Muval or local removalist companies to handle the heavy lifting. Not only will it save you from time and potential injury, but these furniture removal companies also provide professional services that can allow you to focus on other move-related duties.
Relying on moving professionals minimises the risk of your belongings getting scratched, bumped or broken in transit. And let’s face it, wouldn’t it feel great to arrive at your new home, all stress-free, with a large moving truck trailing behind?
3) Plan with a Moving Checklist
Sifting, organising, and packing your belongings can be a time-consuming ordeal. If you want to smoothen out the process and look calm and collected while doing so, consider making a moving checklist that spans the entire duration of the move.
The moving checklist should include everything you need to facilitate the move, from booking a removalist to sorting out your bills and utilities. When you list down all the tasks that need to be done, you can more easily track your progress and feel less overwhelmed about everything you need to do.
You’ll also not forget any crucial tasks that need to be done, since they’ll all be documented in the checklist.
4) Label and Track Everything
There’s nothing worse than arriving at your new place and fumbling through your boxes in search of that one item you’re looking for. To keep everything organised and make unpacking easier, do your future self a favour by labelling the boxes and tracking the items that are inside.
Not only will this make unpacking much faster, but it’ll also keep everything systemised and easy to follow later on. For instance, you can label a box that contains all your kitchenware and another box that contains your kid’s clothing. You can also label boxes that have fragile equipment, which can signal removalists to know which boxes to handle with extra care.

5) Keep Your Important Documents Safe
When you’re in the midst of moving, it’s easy to lose track of important documents such as your passport, birth certificate, and medical records.
While you can put them in the truck, it’s a safer idea to keep these items close to you. The last thing you want is to misplace these important documents and have to go through a tedious and expensive process of replacing them.
So when moving, be sure to keep a small bag near you that has all of your essentials while you travel. This doesn’t only include your passports and IDs, but also first-day essentials such as clothing, hygiene items, medications, and electronics.
You should also make copies of your important documents and store them in a safe place to avoid getting into any sticky situations. This way, you’ll at least have a backup if the original document gets lost.
6) Greet Your New Neighbours
A new neighbourhood means a new set of people to get to know. If you want to set a good first impression, take the initiative to get to know your neighbours and build good relationships with them by stopping over to say hi.
Introducing yourself can be as easy as baking some pastries, knocking on your neighbour’s door, and giving them a new-neighbourly gift as a greeting of peace. You can even invite them over for dinner or to a party as a way to treat yourself after the stressful move.
Moving can be daunting, but with the right support system, you can make the experience less stressful and more memorable. As such, don’t miss out on the opportunity to build connections with your new neighbours and the local community. You’ll never know what can blossom from a simple hello until you try!
