Scoring a Professional Image: It’s a Tie!

Scoring a Professional Image: It’s a Tie!

You’re a professional guy. Confident. Successful. You’re about to leave for a business trip that includes everything from presenting a report to “casual” cocktail chats. And you have absolutely no idea what to pack. Hey, you’ve got some fashion smarts. You’re fully aware of the authoritative presence conferred by your business suit, not to mention the psychological benefit to you— you just feel more professional, powerful, in-control. Let’s take a closer look, not so much at the specific design details of the dapper Don’s executive style, but more at the overall concepts. • Think subtle. Stay away from bold colors, wildly-patterned shirts or ties, and exaggerated cuts. • Think sleek. For the suit, the key is in the fit; look for broader shoulders that taper to…

Antoine Martin, contemporary elegance in watchmaking

Antoine Martin was lanched last year and represent a new alternative to luxury Watch making. Born from a solid and innovative know-how of its founder, Martin Braun, it is now a player of the watchmaking industry located in Alpnach, in the heart of Switzerland. Every time someone try to create a new Watch brand, eyes are pointed on this person as we all wish to be surprised, excited and taken to a new journey in the watch industry. Of course others might see a threat so they might hope it will not work or just keep it small enough to not disturb the business. Anyway, After many fights between big groups to get the number one position, it is always inspiring to see people daring to bring something different to the market. This shows how dynamic the Swiss Watch industry is and how big is its power of innovation. When Mr…

YSL Opium new TV ad… just pure class.

YSL Opium new TV ad… just pure class.

This month, Yves Saint Laurent Parfums launched the new TV advertising for its incredible fragrance for women, OPIUM. It is by far the most elegant, luxury, divine, amazing and incredible high-class Tv Ad that came across my eyes and my ears on the past 2 years…. minimum! The Ad features british actress Emily Blunt, best known for her roles in The Devil Wears Prada, The Young Victoria, and The Adjustment Bureau. She has been nominated for two Golden Globe Awards, two London Film Critics’ Circle Awards, and one BAFTA Award. She won a Golden Globe Award for her work in the BBC television drama Gideon’s Daughter. The print ad here above was shot by Patrick Demarchelier. We can see an amazing Emily Blunt with magnetic eyes. You could give your soul to the Devil for her… Beautiful. Ok, back to the Tv Ad. The film is totally on the path of sulfurous and subversive Saint Laurent style. In an intense play…
